Excellence in education

'Henley-in-arden

excellence for, and from, every pupil'

Transport Information

Many of our pupils travel to school using buses provided by Warwickshire Local Authority.  Questions about school buses can be directed to the Education Transport department.

General information about school transport can be found here.  Click here for a map showing the transport priority area.

Many prospective parents have queries concerning bus routes and the transport priority area.  For information on bus timetables and routes, click here.

We are also accessible from Birmingham, Solihull and Stratford-upon-Avon by rail, as our small town is lucky enough to have its own station – click here.

Pupils transfer from many areas inside and outside our transport priority area. The admissions Department at Warwick County Council can confirm if you are residing in the transport priority area or you can view the priority area map here

Admissions can be divided into three main groups:

  1. Children who live within three miles walking distance of the School. Normally no transport is provided for these children, but special arrangements sometimes occur.

  2. Children who live more than three miles from the School but inside the transport priority area receive free transport to the School.

  3. Children who live outside the transport priority area but whose parents wish them to come to Henley. There are fare-paying coaches and good train links to Henley, particularly from Stratford, Snitterfield and Hall Green, Birmingham.

The School is always happy to try and advise on transport arrangements, but the County Council has overall responsibility for contract coaches. The Transport Department can be contacted on 01926 742 051 for enquiries regarding the eligibility and 01926 412 929 for bus route enquiries.
